Instead of supporting peace, Russian peacekeepers turn a blind eye to Armenia's provocative and illegal actions, Turkish TV channel Haber Global said in its program titled "Azerbaijanis take ownership of their mines" about the protests of Azerbaijani activists against Armenia's environmental terrorism held on the Khankandi-Lachin road passing through Shusha, Report informs.
The protests of Azerbaijani activists in the Lachin corridor against Armenia's ecological terror and the illegal exploitation of mineral deposits in Karabakh have been going on for a week.
Those who gather at the rally with Azerbaijani flags in their hands shout slogans against Armenia's environmental terrorism.
"The number of people joining the protest on the Khankandi-Lachin road is increasing. Dozens of people do not leave the territory under the control of Russian peacekeepers temporarily stationed in Azerbaijan."
The program mentions Armenia's illegal exploitation of Azerbaijan's mineral deposits, which caused protests. At the same time, it noted that the peaceful protesters continue their action not only during the day, but also at night. The channel reported that the protestors, who did not give up despite the freezing cold, are trying to warm themselves by making bonfires.
"This is not only an illegality, but also an environmental massacre," the TV channel emphasized.
Haber Global reported that Russian peacekeepers have been temporarily deployed in the territory of Azerbaijan, where a small number of Armenians live. However, instead of supporting peace, Russian peacekeepers turn a blind eye to Armenia's provocative and illegal actions. Russian peacekeepers do not ensure the removal of illegal Armenian armed groups in Azerbaijan from these territories, and they carry weapons and ammunition.
