Foreign Minister: Azerbaijan returned all prisoners of war to Armenia

"Azerbaijan is fully committed to its obligations and has returned all prisoners of war to Armenia under the tripartite statement," Azerbaijan's Foreign Minister Jeyhun Bayramov said.

Report informs that Bayramov was speaking at the meeting of the Council of Foreign Ministers of the Commonwealth of Independent States.

The minister drew the participants' attention to Armenia's actions that run contrary to the norms of international law and the tripartite statement, including the attempts of Armenian service members to penetrate the Azerbaijani territories illegally. He also noted that Armenia has not yet provided Azerbaijan with the maps of mined areas.

In conclusion, the minister expressed hope for the support of the international community, particularly the country's closest partners from the CIS member-states, in demining and restoration of the de-occupied lands and creation of conditions for the peaceful co-existence in these areas.
