Foreign diplomats, military attaches see destruction in Azerbaijan's Fuzuli

Diplomats from Ankara, also accredited in Azerbaijan, who arrived in the liberated Azerbaijani territories, have visited the center of Fuzuli city, which was practically destroyed during the years of Armenian occupation, Report informs.

Emin Huseynov, special representative of the president of Azerbaijan in the liberated territories included in the Karabakh economic region, noted that the place where they stand was the center of a once flourishing city, but as a result of the occupation, only ruins remained of it.

He also spoke about the ongoing restoration work in Fuzuli.

Huseynov said that during the restoration of the city in its center, part of the ruins will be preserved and conserved. A museum will be created on this site, which will demonstrate all the destruction that the city was subjected to during the occupation.

The construction of a new road from Fuzuli to Shusha is currently underway, he added.
