Expert: Operation Iron Fist led to Armenia’s complete surrender

It was the Armenian armed forces that delivered the first massive strike on the territory of Azerbaijan, editor-in-chief of the Natsionalnaya Oborona magazine and military expert Igor Korotchenko said, Report informs.

“At least three highly informed high-ranking sources (not Azerbaijani) told me that on September 27, 2020, the Armenian armed forces were the first to launch a massive strike using artillery and MLRS on the territory of Azerbaijan - the notorious ‘Tonoyan doctrine’ in action,” Korotchenko wrote in his publication on Telegram channel.

Korotchenko noted that “in Yerevan they thought that the ‘skirmishes’ initiated by the Armenian side would last five or six days, and Armenia would once again demonstrate ‘valiant prowess and power.’ In response, a decision was made in Baku to punish the provocateur in full - the counter-offensive Operation Iron Fist began. On the fifth day of hostilities, the Armenian Defense Ministry lost its centralized command and control of its troops. After 44 days, the Armenian army was defeated, and Yerevan capitulated,” he said.
