"The insults and threats committed by Armenians in France should not be ignored."
French historian Maxime Gauin told the local bureau of the Report. According to him, the Armenian Diaspora's activity in France has significantly weakened over the past 30 years:
"During this period, the activities of Armenians in France have weakened, newspapers have been closed, and the number of websites has been reduced. Even in Paris, the number of participants in Armenians' protests, even on weekends, not exceeds a few hundred. The annulment of the charters of friendship signed between several cities and the separatist regime of Nagorno-Karabakh and many other similar events are clear examples of the Armenian Diaspora's failures in France. In France, even the Armenian leadership has lost its prestige and transparency. "Armenians are well aware that after Azerbaijan returns its occupied territories, there will be no issues left for their activities in France."
