Diariolibre: Armenia must comply with tripartite pact despite internal crisis

"The political crisis in Armenia after the Karabakh war is an internal affair of this country and should not hinder the implementation of the statement signed on November 10 after 44 days of clashes," President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev said at a press conference for local and foreign media on February 26.

Report informs, citing the Latin American online publication Diariolibre, that Armenia is currently demanding the prime minister's resignation.

Nikol Pashinyan considers these events as an attempt at a military coup.

The protests intensified, especially after Pashinyan declared that Russian-made Iskander missiles did not work in the Karabakh war.

In turn, the Russian leadership and Ilham Aliyev stated that Iskander missiles were not used in the Karabakh war.

Diariolibre quotes President Ilham Aliyev as saying that if Armenia does not comply with the terms of the tripartite agreement, the country will find itself in an even more difficult situation.

The article also notes that, according to Ilham Aliyev, Armenia has no choice but to accept the new reality. Azerbaijan, which won the war in Karabakh, has restored its territorial integrity recognized by the whole world.

The Azerbaijani President stressed that all prisoners of war were returned to Armenia, and after the end of hostilities, the bodies of more than a thousand Armenian soldiers were found.

He noted that the November 10 agreement itself is an act of Armenia's capitulation and that this document will play the role of a de facto peace agreement in the future.

At the end of the article, the President of Azerbaijan stressed that the status of Nagorno-Karabakh was not discussed, and the discussion of this issue served the confrontation, not peace.
