Bill on status of returning IDPs submitted to government

"Surveys were conducted among former IDPs to determine the fundamental basis of repatriation of the population to the liberated areas. Based on the results of the surveys, appropriate planning schemes have been developed," Fuad Huseynov, Deputy Chairman of the State Committee for Refugees and IDPs, said at a scientific-practical conference on "Opportunities for the innovative economic development of the liberated territories" in Shamakhi.

According to him, the repatriation of the population was carried out under principles such as voluntariness, protection of social justice, as well as protection of property and its rights, taking into account the socio-demographic dynamics:

"In order to effectively organize the return of IDPs and create a legal framework for the adoption of appropriate regulations, the State Committee has already submitted a bill on the status of these persons to the Cabinet of Ministers, the Presidential Administration, relevant ministries, and committees for comment. It also includes the work to be done to ensure awareness among the population, to diversify the scope of propaganda work to expand awareness-raising activities. At the same time, the creation of a database on the repatriation of the people, the analysis of statistical indicators, and an electronic database to ensure the availability of relevant information are among the advanced works."
