Washington to host meeting of Azerbaijani and Armenian FMs today

Azerbaijani Foreign Minister Elmar Mammadyarov and Foreign Minister of Armenia Zohrab Mnatsakanyan are to meet today in Washington.

Report informs that both ministers are in Washington.

The meeting will be co-chaired by OSCE Minsk Group co-chairs - Igor Popov (Russia), Stéphane Visconti (France) and Andrew Shoffer (USA). Besides the co-chairs, Personal Representative of the OSCE Chairman-in-Office Andrzej Kasprzyk will also participate in the negotiations of the Foreign Ministers of Azerbaijan and Armenia.

The issue of settlement of the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict will be discussed at the meeting.

Before the talks, the co-chairs held separate meetings with both Mammadyarov and Mnatsakanyan.

Moreover, the Azerbaijani Foreign Minister met with US President's National Security Adviser John Bolton as part of his working visit to Washington.

During the meeting, the parties exchanged intensive and long-term views on a number of issues, including ways to advance the talks on the current stage of the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict settlement and substantive issues.
