Azerbaijan's demining efforts require more international support, says Yves Bouvier

Yves Bouvier, the head of the British travel club Picky Reels, expressed his disappointment in the international community's insufficient support for Azerbaijan's demining efforts during a recent visit to the country.

According to Report, during his third trip to Azerbaijan, Bouvier witnessed firsthand the impressive results of the ongoing reconstruction in the Karabakh region. "I am astonished by the progress made here [in Karabakh] since my first visit. The construction work completed in such a short time is particularly impressive," he noted.

Bouvie, who participated in the demining process for the third time, emphasized the immense efforts Azerbaijan is putting into clearing its territories of landmines. "I know it's a challenging task. Today, we were told that Armenians planted around 1.5 million mines here, and I am truly shocked by these figures," he added.
