Azerbaijan Red Crescent Society official hopeful food cargo will be delivered to residents of Armenian descent

"We hope that our benevolent step, our humanitarian mission will receive proper assessment and soon the food load we brought will be delivered to these people," the vice-president of the Azerbaijani Red Crescent Society Gafar Asgarzada told Report's correspondent.

"The purpose of our benevolent step is to deliver food assistance, in particular 40 tons of flour, to the residents of Armenian origin living in Karabakh. The leadership of the Society conducted appropriate negotiations with the command of the Russian peacekeepers temporarily deployed in Azerbaijan. However, there is no positive answer yet. We hope that our benevolent step, our humanitarian mission will receive proper assessment and the food load we brought will be delivered to these people soon," he said.

Two trucks laden with 40 tons of flour are waiting near the post of Russian peacekeepers on the Aghdam-Khankandi road.
