Ancient tombstones destroyed and hidden by Armenians found in St. John Church in Hadrut

During a visit to the village of Hadrut, members of the Albanian-Udi Christian religious community of Azerbaijan discovered ancient tombstones destroyed and hidden by Armenians in front of the temple of St. John.

Report's Karabakh bureau informs that during the visit, organized by the State Committee for Work with Religious Organizations, members of the community noticed that there were no tombstones on the destroyed ancient graves in front of the temple.

Deputy Chairman of the Albanian-Udi Christian Religious Community Rafiq Danakari told Report's Karabakh bureau that members of the community found and returned tombstones hidden by Armenians:

"Together with members of the community, we returned the tombstones to their places. Then we performed religious rites and read prayers. On the tombstones and graves there are inscriptions that supposedly belong to Albanians and Udins, and images of Albanian crosses."
