56th day of protests on Khankandi-Lachin road: protesters become more active every passing day

Despite cold and frosty weather conditions, the protests on the Khankandi-Lachin road against the illegal exploitation of mineral deposits in the Karabakh economic region of Azerbaijan have been going on for fifty-six days, Report informs.

There were no incidents at the protest site during the night, where security rules were followed at a high level.

As usual, the protesters opened this morning singing the National Anthem of Azerbaijan. Later, they performed patriotic songs.

At the same time, the eco-activists raise posters written in Azerbaijani, Russian and English on both sides of the road and chant slogans.

Their demands remain unchanged.

The demonstrations are being held by Azerbaijani activists and members of environmental non-governmental organizations (NGOs) on the part of the road under the control of Russian peacekeepers in Shusha, demanding an end to ecological terrorism in the Karabakh economic region.
