Magnetic storm begins on Earth

A weak magnetic storm has begun on Earth, Mikhail Leus, a leading specialist at the Phobos weather center, according to Report.

"A weak G1-class magnetic storm began on our planet this morning. After 8:50, the Kp index, which reflects the level of geomagnetic field disturbances, reached a mark of five units," he noted.

According to the forecaster, throughout the day, the geomagnetic field is expected to be predominantly slightly disturbed, with brief periods of weak magnetic storms.
