The World Bank presented the framework for the implementation of the "Smart Village" concept, global examples, as well as the initial outlines of the "Roadmap" for the application of this concept to the Government of Azerbaijan, the World Bank Country Manager for Azerbaijan Sarah Michael said at the international conference on "Smart villages: an innovative approach to the development of rural areas" held in Baku, Report informs.
"We continue to support the Government of Azerbaijan in the implementation of critical and innovative initiatives. The World Bank supports smart village initiatives in various countries and regions. We are proud to support the Government of Azerbaijan in the application of the Smart Village program. Last year, we published the report Smart villages in Azerbaijan," Sarah Michael said.
