The construction of the Victory Road, which was used by our glorious army while liberating the city of Shusha, the cultural center of Azerbaijan, under the leadership of Commander-in-Chief, President Ilham Aliyev, is about to complete.
Report informs that the construction of the two-lane Victory Road, which commenced 10 months ago, is planned to be completed in September.
The 101-kilometer-long "Victory Road," which was laid on November 16 last year upon the President's order, is being built according to the second technical category, taking into account the development plan of Karabakh. Starting from the Hajigabul-Minjivan-Zangazur corridor, the "Victory Road" stretches to the city of Shusha, the crown of our Karabakh.
The construction work of the Road is in the final stage.
Asphalting work is at the final stage, and a total of 92 km has already been asphalted, with 2 layers in the 31 km section and 1 layer in the 61 km section. Work is underway in other parts.
Construction of 4 new road bridges along the new Road has been completed. The bridges are 45, 80, and 90 meters in length and were built at 26th, 37th, 37th, and 57th kilometers of the Road.
Moreover, 166 round pipes, 11 rectangular water crossings of different diameters, and about 120 km of concrete tubs were built, 82 drainage wells were drilled, 5.6 km of drainage of different diameters, and 3.2 km of water pipes were laid. Underground passages were constructed in 9 places.
The construction was carried out by the State Agency of Azerbaijan Automobile Roads, Turkish "KOLIN Construction Tourism Industry and Trading, Azvirt LLC, and Korpu Bina Tikinti LLC.
The 'Victory Road' will pass through Fuzuli, Khojavand, Khojaly, and Shusha districts and will connect more than 20 settlements, including the cities of Fuzuli and Shusha.
The project, implemented in coordination with other relevant government agencies within the Working Group on Transport, Communications and High Technologies of the Interdepartmental Center under the Coordination Headquarters, is an integral part of the unified transport concept of Karabakh.
The Coordination Headquarters, established by order of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan dated November 24, 2020, is headed by Head of the Presidential Administration Samir Nuriyev.
