At the trilateral meeting of the ministers of Uzbekistan, Azerbaijan and Turkiye, the Minister of Transport of Uzbekistan, Ilhom Mahkamov, put forward an initiative to form a new multimodal corridor "Turkiye - Caucasus - Central Asia - South Asia through Afghanistan", Report informs, citing Uzbek media sources.
According to him, it is necessary to make joint efforts to develop freight transportation with South Asian countries: "The Uzbek transporters are already testing the route passing through Afghanistan to Pakistan."
