Ukraine repatriates citizens from Azerbaijan

Ukraine has evacuated about 600 of its nationals stranded in Baku, London, Rome and Tel Aviv to Kyiv Boryspil Airport, Report says citing the State Border Guard Service of Ukraine.

The Airlines implemented temperature screenings for all passengers. The citizens will remain in isolation at home for a while.

The authorities made sure that all passengers installed an application to comply with self-isolation at home.

The number of officially confirmed COVID-19 cases in Ukraine has reached 16,425 as of 9 a.m. on May 13, according to Ukraine’s health ministry. In total, 439 people have died from the disease in Ukraine and 3,716 patients have recovered.

Ukraine entered the first stage of easing lockdown on May 11, two months after the government imposed a nationwide quarantine to slow the spread of the coronavirus pandemic. Although the quarantine has officially been prolonged until May 22, with the possibility of a further extension, some public places and businesses may already reopen.
