UAE to contribute to TITR projects dev’t in Kazakhstan

Following the results of the Kazakhstan-UAE Business Forum, commercial agreements worth approximately $5 billion covering key sectors of the economy were signed, Report informs via Akorda.

"We see great potential for expanding cooperation in various sectors of the economy, including energy, logistics, finance, intellectual technologies, agriculture, and many other areas. Several significant projects with companies such as Masdar, Presight, Abu Dhabi Ports Group, Terminal Holdings, and Abu Dhabi Commercial Bank confirm the dynamics of our partnership," said the Kazakh President, Kassym-Jomart Tokayev, at the closing ceremony of the forum.

Some of the signed commercial agreements confirm the UAE's contribution to the development of the Trans-Caspian International Transport Route (TITR, also known as the Middle Corridor).

Semurg Invest company and Abu Dhabi Ports Group have signed an agreement outlining the principles for the construction and development of the Kuryk multipurpose terminal. Additionally, the Morport Aktau special economic zone SC has formalized a Memorandum of Cooperation with Khalifa Economic Zones Abu Dhabi.
