Turkey has approved the agreement on transit and transport cooperation (Lapis Lazuli route) signed on November 15, 2017, in Ashgabat, Turkmenistan, Report informs referring to Resmi Gazete.
The bill enters into force when it is signed, and the President controls the fulfillment of its provisions.
Afghanistan, Turkey, Turkmenistan, Azerbaijan, and Georgia signed an agreement on the creation of the Lapis Lazuli transport corridor, which is set to connect the five countries on November 15, 2017. The agreement envisages the simplification of transport infrastructure, as well as customs procedures by the participating countries. The Lazurit Corridor is the cheapest and most favorable route to transport the loads from Afghanistan and Asia to Europe.
