An inauguration ceremony of the Pakistan-Azerbaijan Economic Cooperation Chamber was held in Baku, Report informs.
The Chamber has been set up in order to strengthen economic cooperation between the two countries.
Azerbaijan's Deputy Minister of Economy Elnur Aliyev, Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Elnur Mammadov, Head of eth Agency for Small and Medium Business Development Orkhan Mammadov, Acting-President of AZPROMO Yusif Abdullayev, as well as senior officials from Ministries of Foreign Affairs and Justice, attended the inauguration ceremony.
Moreover, the goals also include close cooperation with other trading chambers of Pakistan and Azerbaijan to support and encourage for the systematic and sustainable expansion of interstate economic relations and investments based on the principles of equality, partnership, and mutual respect, to support the education and intellectual development of innovative thinkers who will strengthen business ties between the two countries, and develop the common business interests and membership.
The annual bilateral trade between the two countries is below the real potential. The Chamber is expected to act as a springboard to stimulate bilateral trade and investment with the participation of the two countries' business communities. The Chamber will provide a much-needed permanent platform for the two countries' businesses to establish effective economic relations.
