Movement of trains from Chisinau to Kyiv to resume for first time in 20 years

The movement of passenger trains on the route Chisinau (Moldova) - Kyiv (Ukraine) after a 20-year break will be opened from November 6, said Deputy Prime Minister - Minister of Infrastructure and Regional Development of Moldova Andrei Spinu, Report informs referring to TASS.

“From November 6, 2022, the Chisinau-Kyiv railway route will resume operation. Trains will depart for Ukraine three times a week,” he wrote on his Telegram channel.

He noted that there will be seven rail cars, the train is designed for 280 passengers. The route will be jointly operated by the Moldovan Railways and Ukrainian Railways companies.
