MIDA: 60% of apartments in Yasamal Residential Complex purchased illegally

A total of 60% of the 442 apartments put up for sale on a discounted basis in the second phase of the Yasamal Residential Complex have been acquired using special computer software, said Farman Gurbanli , the head of the International Relations and Strategic Planning Department of the State Housing Development Agency, at a joint briefing with the State Security Service, Report informs.

According to him, the main goal of implementing the subsidized housing system is to create conditions for those who want to buy a house:

"Due to the intervention in the system, 60% of subsidized apartments were purchased illegally. Several people jointly created a software system to illegally obtain apartments for the users of the subsidized system who applied to them in advance.

One of the basic principles of the affordable housing sales system is the provision of equal conditions. This software is against it. Since more than 60% of the apartments put up for sale were purchased this way, all the results were cancelled."
