Construction of the Fuzuli International Airport should be completed by the end of September, project manager for the construction of the airport Selim Akbay told reporters, Report informs. “This project was both complex and simple. It was complicated, because there was nothing here, and the whole territory was full of mines. Despite this, the Azerbaijani state took all the steps necessary for the construction. The project was at the same time simple, because almost 1,000 people, who participated in the project, handled the issue with enthusiasm. We didn’t have to hurry them up or ask them to work better. We attracted experienced specialists who have already worked in the airports of Turkey and other countries,” he said. According to the manager, 12 Turkish companies participated in the construction of the airport in Fuzuli. “Construction materials and equipment meeting international standards were imported from Turkey, Russia, China, the US, Germany, Italy, Spain and Finland,” Akbay added.
