KTZ Express, Yixinou aim to boost Middle Corridor traffic

Kazakhstan's KTZ Express JSC (a subsidiary of Kazakhstan Temir Zholy, KTZ) and China's Yixinou Trading Service Group Co. Ltd (Yixinou) discussed prospects for developing container transportation along the Trans-Caspian International Transport Route (TITR, Middle Corridor), Report informs referring to KTZ.

"A meeting was held in Astana between KTZ Express management and Yixinou representatives. The main topic of discussion was the prospects for developing container transportation to European Union countries, Central Asia, and along the TITR," the statement says.

According to KTZ, special attention was paid to increasing transportation volumes from China's Zhejiang province, which, thanks to its strategic location and developed transport infrastructure, is a key hub for international logistics and trade.

"The negotiations resulted in signing a strategic cooperation agreement. The document envisions the implementation of joint initiatives to increase container transportation volumes and develop key routes," the information notes.

Yixinou is the only private operator of a container train logistics platform on the China-Europe route.

The Trans-Caspian International Transport Route, also known as the Middle Corridor, is an international transport route that runs through China, Kazakhstan, the Caspian Sea area, Azerbaijan, Georgia, and further to Türkiye and European countries.
