Kazakhstan Airlines advised to avoid Iranian airspace

Kazakh airlines have been advised to refrain from flying over Iranian airspace.

Report informs citing Kazakh media that the Civil Aviation Committee of Kazakhstan's Ministry of Transport issued a statement recommending that airlines choose alternative routes and follow previously issued guidelines and recommendations for flights in the region.

Air Astana, Kazakhstan's largest airline, has already taken action by rerouting its flights to Dubai to avoid Iranian airspace. As a result, flight times from Astana and Almaty to Dubai will increase. The airline stated that flights to Jeddah will continue as scheduled but may be subject to change if military activity in the region escalates further. Air Astana emphasized its commitment to ensuring the safety of its flights and will make additional adjustments as necessary.
