Investments in Azerbaijan’s economy down 12%

In January-July this year, 7.059 billion manats were directed to fixed capital in Azerbaijan, Report informs referring to the State Statistics Committee.

This is 12.1 percent less than in the same period last year.

Over the year, investments in Azerbaijan’s oil and gas sector decreased by 10.4 percent, while investments in the non-oil and gas sector fell by 13.4 percent.

In the structure of total investments, 69.2 percent (4.883 million manats) fell on the construction of industrial facilities, 23.2 percent (1.639 million manats) - service facilities, 7.6 percent (537.3 million manats) - residential buildings.

From internal sources, 4.463 billion manats or 63.2 percent of total investments were directed to fixed capital, 4.797 billion manats or 68 percent of funds were spent on construction and installation work.

In the total volume of investments in fixed capital, funds of institutions and organizations amounted to 60.3 percent, budget funds - 19.6 percent, bank loans – 6 percent, personal funds of the population – 7 percent, other funds - 7.1 percent.
