According to him, WUF13 is not only discussing the current needs of cities: "We have also gathered at this event to discuss the living spaces we will leave behind for future generations, our common resilience against climate change, and our vision of sustainable development as D8 countries."
He noted that Türkiye sees D8 not merely as an economic cooperation platform, but as a strategic ground for strengthening ecological solidarity, green development, and a shared vision for the future: "Today, energy transformation and urban planning policy have become two main complementary fields. Energy-efficient buildings, clean transportation systems, renewable energy infrastructures, smart city applications, green infrastructure, and sustainable housing projects are shaping the future of our cities."
