Future look of Istisu settlement in Azerbaijan’s Kalbajar

Anar Guliyev, Chairman of Azerbaijan’s State Committee on Urban Planning and Architecture, has shared captivating images of the future Istisu settlement on his social media accounts, Report informs.

President Ilham Aliyev attended the groundbreaking ceremony for the project in the Kalbajar district of Azerbaijan on September 2.

Spanning an impressive 63.1 hectares in the western part of Kalbajar, the Istisu settlement will be designed and constructed in stages. The first phase will cover an area of 39.2 hectares and include the construction of 159 individual houses. The master plan envisages a total of 71 "townhouse" style homes (142 apartments) and 10 buildings with 180 apartments to be built in the future.

Istisu will not only provide modern housing but also boast essential social facilities and infrastructure. The settlement will feature a school for 352 students, a kindergarten accommodating 100 children, an administrative building, a sports and health club, a community center, a medical facility, and sports grounds. These amenities will ensure a high quality of life for the residents and visitors of Istisu.

As Istisu embarks on this transformative journey, it is set to reclaim its position as one of the most significant centers in the Kalbajar district.
