Experts publish ranking of best cities for quality of living

Auckland has been judged the world’s best city for quality of living and topped the rating of the analytical division of the British magazine The Economist Intelligence Unit (EIU), Report informs referring to TASS.

The Global Liveability Index 2021 report was presented Juen 9 by EIU.

The biggest city in New Zealand has surpassed Osaka and Adelaide in the ranking of the 140 best cities on the planet. Experts assessed and compared the quality of life in cities around the world by several indicators: development stability, culture, ecology, health care, education and infrastructure.

Auckland received 96 points - 1.8 points more than Osaka (Japan). Subsequent places were taken by Adelaide (Australia) with 94 points, Wellington (New Zealand) and Tokyo (Japan) - 93.7 points and Perth (Australia) - 93.3 points. Also, the first 10 best cities in the world included Zurich and Geneva, which ranked seventh and eighth, respectively, and Melbourne, which fell from second to ninth place, while Brisbane closed the top ten list.

Damascus (Syria) was last on the list, ahead of which were Lagos (Nigeria), Port Moresby (Papua New Guinea) and Dhaka (Bangladesh).
