Emin Huseynov: Action plan underway to speed up work in Karabakh

We are preparing a special action plan to accelerate work in the Karabakh economic region, Emin Huseynov, the President's special representative in the liberated territories of the Karabakh economic region, told Report.

"The "Smart Village" project implemented in the Agali village of the Zangilan district is a pilot project. All advanced technologies are implemented in the Smart Village, the work is carried out successfully, and the training was held for families to settle there. The first group is expected to be moved to the village in the near future," Huseynov said.

According to him, work is underway to design a settlement in Fuzuli's Dovletyarli village on the basis of the "smart village" concept: "We hope to complete the design work soon and begin the physical work. These are pilot projects. Mass resettlement is not a simple task, all of which is carried out under the adopted strategic action plan. Thus, after the completion of security measures, demining, and construction of basic infrastructure in the liberated areas, residential facilities and socio-physical infrastructure must be formed in parallel. There should be schools, hospitals, public buildings that provide public administrative services. All of them have a concrete action plan. These plans have been developed for each district. At the same time, there are already East Zangazur and Karabakh economic regions. Upon order of President Ilham Aliyev, the special representation of the Karabakh economic region has been approved. At present, we are preparing a special action plan to accelerate the reconstruction of the liberated areas of the Karabakh economic region, focusing on them. I hope that this work will be completed on time and all these projects will be successfully implemented."

As for specific projects, he added, that the general plans of both Fuzuli and Aghdam have been approved: "The first few construction projects envisaged in these plans are already in the design process, and the foundation stones have been laid."

In the "Smart Village" created in the Agali village of the Zangilan district, 200 individual ecological houses, four two-storey non-residential buildings, a school for 360 pupils, and a 60-seat kindergarten are being built. The work on the initial stage in the village is nearing completion. The project envisages the establishment of a public farm in order to create appropriate conditions for the restoration and development of agricultural activities in the "smart village". The farm will keep 250 head of cattle and 600 head of small ruminants. The "Smart Management System" will be implemented from the data and analysis center.
