Director general: Port of Baku will be attractive for international investors

Azerbaijan is developing rapidly and numerous innovative projects will be implemented in the country in the coming decade, Taleh Ziyadov, Director General of Baku International Sea Trade Port CJSC, said at the panel discussions held within the framework of the Baku Climate Action Week, Report informs.

Ziyadov noted that the Port of Baku is the first green port in the region to be certified by the European Sea Ports Organization (ESPO) and will have a positive impact on nearby settlements with green buildings.

"Imagine a city where every cafe, restaurant, or hotel offers you only organic products. This changes all perceptions of how we want to live in the future. And this project will be open to potential international investors," he said.

The director general stated that the master plan of the new settlement will be revised, and more than 70% of the area will be covered with trees.
