The project related to the Aghband customs checkpoint, located in Azerbaijan's Zangilan district, is in a phase of coordination with the relevant state agencies, Jafar Guluzada, head of the Customs Regulation Department of Azerbaijan’s State Customs Committee (SCC), told Report.
He said that the SCC has a comprehensive action plan aimed at increasing the capacity of customs-border checkpoints, expanding infrastructure facilities, and further increasing material and technical supply:
“Reconstruction and restoration work are planned at several customs border checkpoints in connection with increasing the transit attractiveness of Azerbaijan. A number of projects related to all these works are being drafted. These projects must go through a certain approval process with the relevant government agencies, and the work is currently at this phase. Some projects are almost ready.”
