Cambodian Minister: WUF13 to help address global urban challenges

The 13th Session of the World Urban Forum (WUF13) will provide a platform to find solutions to the common problems faced by cities worldwide, Say Sam Al, Deputy Prime Minister of Cambodia and Minister of Land Management, Urban Planning and Construction, told Report.

The minister emphasized that participants will use the opportunities created at WUF13 to generate new ideas: "Perhaps solutions will be found to the common problems faced by cities around the world. As you know, different cities face various issues – infrastructure challenges, lack of investment in infrastructure, education, digital infrastructure, and drug use. I hope people will take this opportunity seriously and work to find new, practical solutions."

He expressed optimism that future WUF meetings will already see progress in solving some of these challenges: "These are not just the problems of individual countries, but global issues."
