To create sustainable living environments, it is necessary to strengthen mobility and spatial integration, Barbara Zamora, urban development specialist at the Development Bank of Latin America and the Caribbean (CAF), said at WUF13 in Baku, Report informs.
According to her, housing construction is essentially the foundation of urban development.
"This sector can create effective tools not only for land use management but also for ensuring connections with other areas-for example, mobility, access to transportation, and public spaces. Therefore, the goal is not only to build more housing or improve the quality of existing housing, but also to develop the overall living environment and neighborhoods where this housing is located," she added.
