As Baku prepares to host the 29th session of the Conference of the Parties (COP29) to the UN Framework Convention on Climate Change, the city's transport authorities have announced significant changes to bus services during the event's opening days.
Report informs that, according to Anar Rzayev, Chairman of the Board of the Azerbaijan Land Transport Agency (ALTA) under the Ministry of Digital Development and Transport, bus services on more than 10 routes will be suspended during the first four days of COP29.
Speaking during a briefing on the transport plan to be implemented during the climate conference, Rzayev stated that starting tomorrow, detailed information about each route change will be shared with the public. "The information will include the specific bus routes affected by the suspensions and the alternative routes available. We prefer to share the information in stages to avoid confusion, rather than releasing all the details at once," he explained.
