Border procedures along TRACECA corridor to be simplified

The 16th annual meeting of the TRACECA Intergovernmental Commission in Tbilisi is discussing the issues of developing multimodal transportation along the international transport corridor Europe-Caucasus-Asia (TRACECA), digitalization of the corridor, simplification of border crossing procedures, as well as other issues on the development of the TRACECA corridor, according to Report.

The meeting is attended by official representatives of the member countries of the "Basic Multilateral Agreement on International Transport for the Development of the Europe-Caucasus-Asia Corridor", permanent representatives of the TRACECA Permanent Secretariat in these states, as well as observers from Lithuania, Greece and representatives of a number of international organizations.

The Secretary General of the Permanent Secretariat of the TRACECA Intergovernmental Commission will be elected during the meeting. At the end of the event, it is planned to adopt the Joint Declaration on the Development of Multimodal Transportation under TRACECA, the Tbilisi Declaration on the results of the event, as well as relevant documents and resolutions.
