Azersu may sign memo of mutual understanding with Israel's water operator

Azersu OJSC hosted a meeting with the delegation of Israel's national water company Mekorot, which is on a visit to Azerbaijan, Report informs, citing the company.

Deputy Chairman of the structure Etibar Mammadov informed about the projects implemented in Azerbaijan in drinking water supply and sanitation and noted close cooperation with international financial organizations and companies.

Recalling that Israeli companies have extensive experience in applying innovative technologies in the water sector, Mammadov noted that Azersu specialists participated in exhibitions and conferences organized in this country over the past period and cooperated with various companies in water technologies.

Yitzhak Aaronovitch, Deputy Chairman of the Mekorot Board of Directors, noted that the company he leads has extensive experience in effective water resources management.

At the meeting, presentations were made, and discussions were held on the use of intelligent technologies in drinking water, seawater desalination, water loss management, and other issues. The parties expressed hope for the soonest signing of a memorandum of understanding.
