Azerbaijani citizens increase purchase of housing in Turkey by 23%

In January-August this year, Azerbaijani citizens purchased 858 apartments in Turkey, in August - 138, Report informs referring to the Turkish Statistical Institute.

Compared with the same periods of last year, this is respectively 22.6 percent more and 10.4 percent less.

For the eight months in Turkey, 31,242 apartments were sold to foreign citizens, and last month - 5,932. This is respectively 47.9 percent and 50.9 percent more than a year ago.

In August, most of the apartments in Turkey were purchased by Iranian citizens. Last month, they purchased 911 apartments, and in January-August - 4,600.

Iraqi citizens rank second, who bought 900 apartments in Turkey last month, and 4,631 in January-August.

In turn, they are followed by Russian citizens who purchased 451 apartments in Turkey in August, 2,575 in January-August.
