Azerbaijan, Uzbekistan discuss increasing trade opportunities 

A delegation led by Prime Minister of Uzbekistan, Abdulla Aripov, visited the Port of Baku in order to expand cooperation between Azerbaijan and Uzbekistan, increase trade opportunities in the Middle Corridor, and identify new potentials, Report informs, citing the Baku International Trade Port.

According to the information, the delegation got acquainted with the technical capabilities of the Port of Baku, the volume of cargo handling, and the working principles of the terminals. During the visit, the guests were informed about the infrastructure projects, which are under construction and planned to be implemented in the near future, and their questions were answered.

From 2018 to the second quarter of 2023, 18,000 TEU containers, 22,000 wagons, and more than 23,000 wheeled equipment were transported between the Port of Baku and Uzbekistan in both directions.
