Azerbaijan sees growth in non-oil industrial production

In January-February 2024, industrial enterprises and private entrepreneurs in Azerbaijan produced industrial goods worth 10.2 billion manats (about $6 billion).

Referring to the State Statistical Committee, Report informs that production in the oil and gas sector for the reporting period fell by 0.9%, while it rose by 11.2% in the non-oil and gas sector compared to the indicator of 2023.

Some 63.9% of the industrial output was made in the mining sector, 29.5% in the processing sector, 5.7% in the sector of production, distribution, and supply of electricity, gas, and steam, and 0.9% in the water supply sector, waste treatment, and recycling.

In the mining sector, commodity oil production dropped by 6.7%, while commodity gas production grew by 4%.

Production in the sector of production, distribution, and supply of electricity, gas, and steam decreased by 7.9%, while in the sector of water supply, waste treatment, and recycling, it increased by 22.7%.
