Smart TVs will soon be produced in the Araz Valley Economic Zone Industrial Park, located in Azerbaijan’s Jabrayil district, according to the Economic Zones Development Agency (EZDA) under the Ministry of Economy, Report informs.
Taube Electronics LLC has officially received resident status in the Industrial Park and plans to invest 3.5 million manats (over $2.05 million) in the new venture. The project is set to create around 20 permanent jobs.
Utilizing cutting-edge Chinese technology, the facility will have the capacity to produce 19,500 smart TVs annually in four screen sizes: 32, 43, 50, and 55 inches.
The Araz Valley Economic Zone was established by a presidential decree issued by President Ilham Aliyev on October 4, 2021. Covering 200 hectares, the park is now home to 17 resident companies and three non-resident entrepreneurs. So far, total investments in the zone have exceeded 30 million manats (over $17.6 million), generating nearly 100 permanent jobs.
