The 22nd meeting of the Joint Azerbaijani-Russian Commission on the division of water resources of the transboundary Samur River, established in accordance with the Agreement between the Government of Azerbaijan and the Government of the Russian Federation on cooperation in the field of efficient use and protection of water resources of the transboundary Samur River, has been held, Report informs referring to Melioration and Water Management of Azerbaijan OJSC.
The meeting took place in the city of Gusar. The meeting, held by the Azerbaijani side under the leadership of the co-chairman of the commission, deputy chairman of the joint-stock company Zakir Guliyev, was attended by employees of the structure Elchin Mammadov, Elkhan Huseynov and members of the commission - representatives of the State Property Service under the Ministry of Economy, the Ministry of Emergency Situations, the Ministry of Digital Development and Transport, the Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources, the State Border Service and the executive power of the Gusar district.
Issues of distribution and monitoring of water resources of the Samur River, joint operation of the Samur hydroelectric complex and other issues were considered at the meeting. As a result of the discussions, a joint protocol on future activities was signed.
