In the coming days, the reconstruction of the railway station in Barda will begin, head of the laboratory of the construction control department of Azerbaijan Railways CJSC Azer Mammadov told Report.
He noted that the building of the Barda station is currently being designed, one of the four stations included in the Barda-Agdam railway line project: “It is the largest in terms of area among these stations, so it will have a two-way platform.”
Mammadov noted that the building of the Barda station was built in the Soviet era, so a decision was made to reconstruct it.
The length of the Barda-Agdam railway line along the axis is 47.1 km. As part of the project, it is planned to build Barda, Kocharli, Tazakend and Agdam stations, 3 bridges, 1 overpass. Some 44% of construction works have been completed on the railway line. The project is scheduled to be completed in 2023.
