Azerbaijan Railways launching free Wi-Fi at major train stations

In a move to enhance passenger experience, Azerbaijan Railways CJSC (ADY) is launching a free Wi-Fi network at Baku, Koroghlu, Bakikhanov, Sabunchu, Pirshaghi, Sumgayit, Goran, Ganja, Agstafa, and Gabala stations. Azer Farajev, the head of ADY's Passenger Transportation Department, told journalists, that passengers will be able to access this service starting from tomorrow, according to Report.

The free Wi-Fi network will be available to passengers in a test mode for a week. Moreover, ADY is introducing free Wi-Fi on trains operating on domestic routes from October.

ADY has also held negotiations with all three mobile operators in the country to ensure stable mobile connectivity on train routes. Following an agreement, monitoring was conducted on the Baku-Agstafa-Baku and Baku-Gabala-Baku routes, and the operators are implementing measures to ensure stable mobile communication on these routes.
