Azerbaijan Railways' freight traffic rises in May

Azerbaijan Railways CJSC transported 1.665 million tons of cargo in May 2026, 23% up year-on-year, Report informs, citing the company.

According to the company, transit transportation amounted to 700,600 tons last month, exceeding the figure for the same period last year by 34%.

Transit freight increased by 48% to 398,500 tons along the East-West corridor, by 26% to 55,100 tons along the North-South route, and by 19% to 236,500 tons along the North-West route.
