Trains on the Baku-Balakan-Baku route will stop at 10 stations and stops: Bilajary, Yevlakh, Shaki, Goynuk, Gakh, Goragan, Aliabad, Zagatala, Goyam, and Balakan, Report informs, citing Azerbaijan Railways (ADY).
The fare from Baku to Balakan in one direction starts from 18 manats ($10.58) for Standard class seats, from 27 manats ($15.88) for Standard Plus, and from 72 manats ($42.35) for Business class.
Starting January 3, sleeper trains will depart daily at 11:50 pm local time (GMT+4) from Baku to Balakan, and from January 4 at 10:10 pm local time from Balakan to Baku. The journey time from Baku to Balakan will be 8 hours 20 minutes, and from Balakan to Baku 8 hours 40 minutes.
"Before the pandemic, the train took 9 hours 35 minutes from Baku to Balakan, and 9 hours 45 minutes from Balakan to Baku," ADY added.
