Azerbaijan, Georgia discuss cooperation in transport

Azerbaijani Minister of Transport, Communications and High Technologies Rashad Nabiyev has met with Georgian Minister of Economy and Sustainable Development Natela Turnava.

According to Report's local bureau, the Istanbul meeting discussed the issues of bilateral cooperation in various fields of transport.

The coordinated cooperation between the two countries contributes to the process of attracting cargo to the Eurasian transport corridor, resulting in a positive impact on the economies of the countries.

During the talks, special attention was paid to the Baku-Tbilisi-Kars railway project. The project's timely completion is essential, and the number of containers transported by rail has increased.

The ministers also exchanged views on cooperation in the field of communications, information technology, and other issues of mutual interest.
