AZAL suspends flights en route Baku-Grozny-Baku and Baku-Makhachkala-Baku

Flights of Azerbaijan Airlines (AZAL) on the Baku-Grozny-Baku and Baku-Makhachkala-Baku routes are suspended until the investigation process is concluded, AZAL said in a statement, Report informs.

According to AZAL, all other flights will be operated as scheduled.

Today, near the city of Aktau, an aircraft belonging to AZAL carrying out the Baku-Grozny flight crashed. Thirty-two out of 67 people on board, including crew members, survived the crash. Azerbaijan's President Ilham Aliyev signed an order declaring December 26 as a day of mourning in connection with the incident.
