ASCO: No restrictions for Azerbaijani ship-ferries in Kuryk port

Kazakhstan Railways has restricted freight reception at the country's Kuryk port from July 1 to 10, citing the lack of ferries operating on the Alat-Kuryk-Alat route due to the increase in the volume of cargo transportation, Report informs, citing the Kazakh media.

Currently, 565 loaded wagons are abandoned in the port. However, the average daily handling capacity of the port is 42 wagons.

Mehman Mehdiyev, the Spokesman of "Azerbaijan Caspian Sea Shipping" CJSC (ASCO), told Report that there are no restrictions for Azerbaijani ships and ferries in Kuryk port:

"Currently, the Shahdag ferry is in Kuryk port, Mercury and Academician Hasan Aliyev ferries are moving towards the mentioned port and will get there in the next few hours. Professor Gul and Aghdam ferries left the port in the morning today and are moving towards the Alat port," he said.
