ASCO launches another tugboat

Another tugboat built at the Zykh ship repair and construction yard of the Azerbaijan Caspian Shipping Company (ASCO) CJSC was put into operation, Report informs, citing ASCO.

The vessel transferred to the ownership of the Caspian Sea Oil Fleet is named Terterchay.

The length of the vessel is 26 meters, its width is 6.7 meters, its side height is 3 meters, its draft is 1.6 meters, and its deadweight is 14 tons. Operated by a crew of 6 people, the vessel moves at a speed of 9 knots. The tug can carry cargo weighing up to 3 tons.

Terterchay is the second ship built by the Zykh ship repair and construction yard. Before this, a similar ship called ASCO 1 was built and commissioned. Currently, four more vessels of this series are being built. They are planned to be put into operation gradually.

These floating facilities were designed by specialists from the Caspian Sea Transport Project and Scientific Research Institute (Kaspmorproekt research institute).
